NEW DELHI: Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya highlighted on Tuesday that lifting Wrestling Federation of India (WFI)'s suspension was crucial for Indian wrestlers to compete in forthcoming tournaments, as preventing their participation would be unfair to the athletes.
The ministry's decision to end WFI's suspension has resolved months of uncertainty, enabling the organisation to resume activities, including selection trials for the upcoming Asian Championship in Amman.
