As far as I’m concerned, Steph Claire Smith has lived 100 lives. The it-girl influencer turned business mogul has had countless ventures from modelling to podcasting to even appearing in a G-Flip music video. And now, Steph has given us a flashback to the fateful day ten years ago when she hung out with Taylor Swift and was there when she adopted one of her famous cats. Her impact.
On the TikTok account of her wellness app KIC, social media manager Alice Harris scrolled into the depths of Steph’s Instagram to find a few pics of her hanging out with the one and only Taylor Swift over a decade ago. And it turns out it’s quite the story.
In 2014, Steph posted the picture above of her and Taylor just after they adopted her kitten, Olivia.
“Had quite the adventurous day with this one,” she captioned the black and white pic.
“Lunch, gym, Brooklyn, adopted a kitten, took the kitten home, had some dinner. Most importantly though, I got to know Taylor, and she’s incredibly sweet and down to earth, very easy to get along with.”
Honestly, it’s a scenario out of a Swiftie’s wet dream.
But HOW did Miss Thing find herself in that situation?
Well, it all started when she went to the gym.
“I was in a car with Taylor because we met at the gym, which was lovely. She was very, very friendly,” Steph recalled.
Although they exchanged numbers, Steph didn’t think that she’d hear from the singer again but later that day, she saw a text from the pop star asking her what she was doing the next day.
They ended up going to brunch before heading back to the gym to do a training session together.
“Then she said, ‘I’m actually going to Brooklyn today to adopt a kitten. Do you want to come with me?'” she continued.
“And I was like, ‘Of course I do!’ so we did, and adopted her kitten.”
The new pals snapped the pic when they were in the car on the way back from the adoption centre. Then, Taylor asked Steph if she wanted to come over to her place to help her introduce baby Olivia to her other famous cat, Meredith Grey.
“We hung out that night, she had ready meals in the fridge so we had one of them to dinner and then her driver took me home,” Steph concluded.
