One elderly woman, who did not want to be named, lives nearby and was passing the scene at about 7.20pm on her way home. She said: “It’s just so sad. I’ve lived here since I’ve been a kid. People say ‘oh you shouldn’t go out at night’ but I say no, we shouldn’t have to be afraid. In my day kids would fight and scrap and that would be it. Now it’s stab stab stab. Awful.”
