‘It’s horrible’: Insiders claim Trump ready to ditch Kristi Noem over not-so-secret workplace affair

ICE Barbie’s days may be numbered. Yup, despite Kristi Noem being every inch the obedient foot soldier Donald Trump demanded, reports are circulating that she may not be long for the political world.

That’s surprising, as Noem has been the beating heart of the second Trump administration’s brutal crackdown and has been equal parts shameless and merciless in carrying out the president’s barbaric orders. So, why is she on the outs?

As per a report in The Bulwark, White House officials have “grown frustrated” with her love life, specifically her alleged illicit relationship with her DHS chief advisor (and former Trump campaign manager) Corey Lewandowski.

Yup, Lewandowski is rumored to be in a not-so-secret affair with Noem. Workplace romances are never to be encouraged, but tensions are apparently high as both Noem and Lewandowski are married! To other people!

D.C.’s “worst kept secret”?

The Daily Beast has described the relationship as D.C.’s “worst kept secret” and has quoted a former official with insider knowledge of the DHS. They didn’t hold back:

“Things are f**ked. It’s horrible, they’re going to destroy this place. I’m just hoping the new secretary gets here in time.”

As such, speculation is building that Trump is gearing up for a “year-end turnover” during which he’ll replace anyone he doesn’t think is living up to expectations.

Frankly, if an illicit Noem/Lewandowski relationship really does have the potential to destroy ICE we need to start encouraging it as much as possible. Let’s crowd-fund some violinists to play romantic music outside their offices, start sending flowers in each other’s names to them, and maybe slip some aphrodisiacs into a DHS pizza order?

It should be said that Noem dismisses all of this as D.C. gossip. Lewandowski even commented on the story directly to The Bulwark: “None of that is true“. But then, they would say that, wouldn’t they?

If Noem did go down like this, it’d be almost poetic. Her policies have torn families apart up and down the country. Now her own poor choices may tear her family apart – if the story is true, I can’t imagine her husband will take a positive view of it. I guess we can only wait and see how this all shakes out.
