Vidarbha skipper Faiz Fazal's statement had a sense of dejection after Ranji Trophy was postponed on January 4 due to the onset of third wave. The disappointment was understandable as Vidarbha were sweating hard this time after a no-show the last season.
A sincere student of the game, Fazal's wish of taking the exam would come true when Vidarbha take the field in whites after a gap of 100 weeks. Against them would be their old challengers Uttar Pradesh as the two sides will lock horns in the Elite-G opener in Sultanpur, Gurgaon, from Thursday.
