A woman who went to a doctor with shoulder pain and was initially told she was suffering from a trapped nerve could now have just months to live. Mum-of-three Andrea Fenn, 52, has since learned she has stage four cancer and not a frozen shoulder.
The cancer diagnosis came after she sought a second opinion from another GP. It has devastated her family and a fundraiser has been set up to help Andrea and her family create as many memories as possible during the time she has left.
Andrea, from Wigan, had first contacted her GP in May 2021 after she began experiencing severe pain in her shoulder and spine, Manchester Evening News reports. She was told she had frozen shoulder – adhesive capsulitis – that causes stiffness and pain in the shoulder joint.
