Kieran Trippier has hailed "unbelievable" Newcastle United youngster Elliot Anderson and admits he is excited about the playmaker's future.
The England defender feels Anderson has already shrugged off his controversially disallowed goal at the City Ground off after he simply kept probing Nottingham Forest to the death on Friday night. It is what follows after his sparkling display that intrigues Trippier.
Speaking after Anderson's excellent performance in the 2-1 win over Steve Cooper's side in the Premier League, Trippier said: "Do you know what? We have a lot of talks, me and Elliot.

"He's a young lad with so much potential, I really mean that. It's crazy really how good he is. He just needs to be patient and keep working hard as he's been doing.
"I thought he was unbelievable in the second half when he came on. He's got a massive future ahead of him, he just has to keep being patient."
Trippier guided Newcastle to victory on a night in which his genius penalty mind games cleared the path for Alexander Isak to step up and fire United to a crucial three points. Trippier simulated the actions of the spot-kick taker before passing the ball to Isak at the last second.
But reflecting on the away win overall, Trippier said: "It was a massive game. We knew it was huge going into this international break. It's not an easy place to come here at all. I don't think they've lost here since last season I think."
