Ville Valo has done more than anyone to bring goth to the masses in the 21st century. As leader of defunct Finnish goth metal poster boys HIM and, subsequently, as a solo artist under the name VV, he’s the dark prince of black-hearted romance. But he’s also a true connoisseur of the genre and its inkier corners, as he proved in 2016 when he talked Metal Hammer through the 10 obscure goth songs that mean the most to him.
