
After going out of fashion in the eighties and nineties, hardware synths – usually (but not always) of an analogue persuasion – are now ridiculously collectible. And that means they have equally ridiculous price tags.
The rarer a synth is, the more expensive it is going to be. But that doesn't explain why some mass-produced synths are now so expensive.
