NEW DELHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has left it to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to persuade the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to send its team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy scheduled for next year. Although the budget for the event was approved at recent ICC meetings in Colombo, the tournament's schedule and format have yet to be discussed.
"The PCB has fulfilled its responsibilities as hosts of the Champions Trophy by submitting the draft schedule, format, and budget for the event," a source within the PCB confirmed, according to an NDTV report.
