A Walmart customer picks up a container of chocolate donut holes from the bakery section and shares them with her family. She can’t believe what her husband found inside one of them when he took a bite.
In a video with over 26,000 views, TikToker Shell (@shellbell205) shows the mostly eaten container of “freshness guaranteed” donut holes.
“If you’ve ever bought these donut holes for your children, I would be very freaking careful,” she warns.
She picks up a donut hole that her husband took a bite out of. Then, she points out a small, shiny object inside.
“He pressed up with his tongue and found a piece of glass,” she says, showing the sharp object.
Her son takes a bite of a different donut hole, and she quickly stops him in case the glass entered other pieces.
“That could’ve done some serious damage,” she says at the end of the clip. The caption reads, “Please check your food before eating… I found glass in mine today. Stay safe out there.”
What should you do if you find glass in your Walmart food?
The TikToker isn’t the only Walmart customer to find glass in their food. On the r/walmart subreddit, others say they’ve also found glass or plastic debris in food items across several departments.
“I bought a GV frozen meal and there was some sort of plastic or glass in my food and cut my tongue and top of mouth,” one writes. “I’m honestly surprised, no I’m not trying to scam, i can’t believe that actually happened.”
In the comments of the forum, customers point out how others should report suspected contamination to Walmart.
“If you google a customer number I’m sure there is one. Tell them what happened and ask what they can do for you. That’s what I do,” a commenter suggests.
“There should be a 1800 number on the box you can call or look up online,” another adds.
According to Walmart’s website, customers who have concerns about food safety can reach out to 1-800-925-6278 to report the issue.

“Plastic. It happened to me with a mcdonalds salad. And they didn’t care,” one remarks.
“Been finding glass in everything from Walmart, chips and bakery goods too stopped eating most food bc of it!!!” a second shares.
A third warns, “If you got these from the Safeway bakery or the Walmart bakery, I’m not surprised almost 2 years ago. My coworker nearly choked because she bit down, and there was a full bolt in her brownie a full intact bolt.”
Some suggest the TikToker seek legal advice, since her husband bit the glass.
A viewer says, “Sue them! To many of these. Stop shopping at big store companies.”
“Lawsuit city !” another adds.
