The Israeli military has reported that Hezbollah was planning a “wide attack” on targets in both northern and central Israel, but their attempt was unsuccessful. According to spokesperson Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani, Hezbollah was primarily targeting the north but also had a few targets in central Israel that they were unable to carry out due to Israel's self-defense operation.
Israel stated that it conducted preemptive strikes on Hezbollah to prevent a major attack. On the other hand, the Shia militant group claimed that their operation had been a “complete success.”
Israeli Strikes in Lebanon
Shoshani mentioned that the Israel Defense Forces focused their efforts on areas in southern Lebanon where there is a significant concentration of rocket launchers. The strikes resulted in at least three casualties, as reported by Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
The situation remains tense as both sides continue to exchange threats and accusations. The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah underscores the ongoing regional tensions and the potential for further escalation.
