On Thursday, the IDF had pledged to retaliate against Hezbollah following deadly attacks on Israel. Residents in the south of Beirut, a known Hezbollah stronghold, were advised to evacuate several buildings as a precautionary measure.

Hezbollah, in response, launched approximately 90 rockets into northern Israel on Thursday. The IDF reported that these attacks resulted in the deaths of seven civilians. Among the casualties were four Thai workers and an Israeli who lost their lives due to rocket fire in Metula, a town near the Lebanon border. Additionally, two individuals were killed in a separate strike near the city of Haifa, as confirmed by the IDF.
