The Israeli military has issued an order for the evacuation of three hospitals in northern Gaza, including Kamal Adwan, Al-Awda, and the Indonesian Hospital. This directive was confirmed by both Doctors Without Borders and the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Kamal Adwan Hospital, the sole fully operational medical facility in northern Gaza, was given a 24-hour notice to evacuate. The hospital's director, Hussam Abu Safiya, mentioned that some patients had already been transferred to other hospitals due to a shortage of fuel. Efforts are being made to evacuate more patients while ensuring that medical services continue to be provided to those in need.
Al-Awda Hospital and the Indonesian Hospital are currently operating at a limited capacity, as reported by officials from these facilities.
The evacuation order has raised concerns about the impact on healthcare services in the region, particularly for residents who rely on these hospitals for medical treatment. The situation is being closely monitored by healthcare professionals and humanitarian organizations to ensure the well-being of patients and the continuity of essential medical services.
