The Israeli military conducted a series of airstrikes in Lebanon on Wednesday, targeting over 280 Hezbollah sites as part of its ongoing offensive. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that the strikes were aimed at disrupting Hezbollah's operations and preventing rocket attacks on Israeli cities.
Among the targets hit were rocket launch sites used to target Israeli cities like Safed and Nahariya. The IDF also struck 60 locations belonging to Hezbollah's intelligence unit, destroying surveillance equipment, command centers, and intelligence infrastructure.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, at least 23 people were killed in the airstrikes on Wednesday, adding to the rising death toll from the conflict. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that nearly 600 people have been killed and close to 1,700 injured since the offensive began on Monday.
Israel's military campaign intensified on Monday with over 1,300 targets struck, followed by around 250 targets on Tuesday. The IDF emphasized that it will continue to target Hezbollah sites to prevent further attacks on Israeli territory.
