Tel Aviv: Israel on Thursday announced that it had eliminated three senior Hamas leaders, including Hamas government chief in Gaza Rawhi Mushtaha, during airstrikes carried out three months ago.
IAF fighter jets struck and eliminated the terrorists while they were hiding in a fortified and equipped underground compound in northern Gaza.

According to a statement issued by the Israeli military, fighter jets struck and eliminated the Hamas leaders while they were hiding in a fortified and equipped underground compound in northern Gaza.

Mushtaha was one of Hamas' most senior operatives and had a direct impact on decisions making process in Hamas, the statement read.
Hamas leaders killed
Sameh al-Siraj, who held the security portfolio for Hamas's political bureau, and Sameh al-Siraj, who held the security portfolio on Hamas' political bureau and Hamas' Labor Committee, were among other leaders who were killed in the airstikes.
The US State Department had designated Mushtaha as a "specially designated global terrorist" in 2015. Last week, Israel killed Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike in Lebanon's Beirut.
