Israeli Military Continues Strikes On Hezbollah Targets In Lebanon

Smoke rises above Lebanon, following an Israeli strike, amid ongoing cross-border hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces, as seen from Israel's border with Lebanon

The Israeli military has announced that it is conducting strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, marking a continuation of its recent attacks on the militant group. While specific details on the latest strikes are limited at this time, further information is expected to be released by the military shortly.

This latest wave of attacks follows a significant airstrike carried out by Israel on southern Beirut, resulting in the deaths of at least 16 Hezbollah operatives, including high-level commanders. The strike, which claimed a total of 31 lives according to Lebanon’s health ministry, underscores the escalating tensions between Israel and the Iran-backed Lebanese militant group.

Earlier in the week, Hezbollah members experienced a series of targeted attacks, starting with the simultaneous explosions of pagers used by the group for communication. This was followed by a second wave of explosions, triggered by walkie-talkies in Beirut and southern Lebanon, resulting in the deaths of at least 37 individuals.

The recent spate of violence highlights the volatile situation in the region and the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. As the Israeli military continues its operations against Hezbollah targets, the situation remains fluid, with further developments expected in the coming days.
