The Israeli military has reported the deaths of seven additional Israeli soldiers in combat in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, bringing the total toll to eight since the offensive began. An officer and four soldiers from the Egoz Unit were severely injured in the incident.
The soldiers, who were part of the Golani Brigade and the Yahalom Unit, were killed in unspecified areas in southern Lebanon. Earlier on the same day, the IDF had announced the death of another soldier.
Hezbollah, in separate statements, claimed to have targeted Israeli forces in three different villages in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese army reported that an Israeli force breached 400 meters into Lebanon but withdrew shortly after.
