Israeli emergency services reported that one person was killed and several others injured in a series of barrages from southern Lebanon on Saturday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that a total of 150 launches from southern Lebanon were detected on that day.
The fatal incident occurred in Acre, northern Israel, where a 50-year-old man was hit by shrapnel while sitting in his car. Another individual at the same location sustained injuries from shrapnel and was evacuated in moderate condition to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya.
While cross-border attacks have been escalating in recent weeks, Israeli casualties are uncommon. A barrage targeting the city of Haifa caused damage to a home in Kiryat Ata, with ten people from the area being hospitalized. Among them, three individuals suffered shrapnel injuries, while others were treated for shock.
Furthermore, an open road in the Western Galilee was also impacted, leading to four people being referred to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. One man was in moderate condition due to shrapnel injuries.
