Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters have engaged in fighting on the ground in southern Lebanon, as confirmed by both sides. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported close-range engagements, the destruction of over 150 terrorist infrastructure sites, and the elimination of terrorists in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah spokesperson Mohamed Afif stated that the Iran-backed group clashed with Israeli forces in Aadeyseh and ongoing clashes are reported in the southern Lebanese village of Maroun Al-Ras.
The Israeli military has not officially responded to Hezbollah's claims. The IDF spokesperson has urged the public not to share unverified reports about the activities of the forces, emphasizing the importance of security for the troops. The IDF has requested that only official reports be relied upon and that irresponsible rumors not be spread.
