An Israeli attack in Gaza resulted in the tragic deaths of seven aid workers from the nonprofit World Central Kitchen. The incident occurred as the team was traveling in a 'deconflicted zone' in two armored cars and one unarmored vehicle after delivering food supplies to a warehouse in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

World Central Kitchen had coordinated the convoy's movements with the Israeli military. After analyzing videos and images of the aftermath, it was determined that the attack consisted of multiple precision strikes on the three vehicles.

Source geolocated the destroyed vehicles to different positions along Al Rashid coastal road in Gaza. The first vehicle, bearing a WCK logo, was found just outside Deir al-Balah, while the second car, visibly fire damaged, was located 800 meters down the same road. The third vehicle, identified as the unarmored one mentioned in WCK's statement, was the most heavily damaged and was situated in an open field 1.6 kilometers away from the second car.

This tragic incident highlights the dangers faced by humanitarian workers in conflict zones and raises questions about the circumstances surrounding the attack. World Central Kitchen has condemned the violence and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.
