Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have persisted over the past 24 hours, leading to a tragic toll on civilians. The Civil Defense Directorate has reported that eight individuals lost their lives due to the ongoing conflict.
Civil Defense Spokesman Mahmoud Basal revealed that residential buildings in various parts of Gaza, including Gaza City in the north, the Nuseirat area in central Gaza, and the Al-Nasr neighborhood near Rafah in the south, were targeted in the attacks.
According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, the violence has resulted in a significant number of casualties. In the previous 48 hours alone, 52 bodies were brought to hospitals, with 118 individuals sustaining injuries as a consequence of Israeli military operations. The cumulative death toll since October 7 has now reached 41,595.
While the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have not provided an update on their current operations in Gaza for Sunday, they did disclose details regarding a tunnel allegedly used by Hamas in central Gaza. The IDF stated that troops had uncovered and dismantled a one-kilometer underground tunnel situated in the heart of the Gaza Strip, close to residential areas and civilian spaces. The tunnel reportedly contained multiple rooms and equipment utilized by Hamas operatives for extended periods.
