Israeli Airstrike On Gaza Hospital Kills Three, Injures 40

Palestinians search for casualties at the site of Israeli strikes on houses, in Gaza City

On Sunday, a tragic incident unfolded in central Gaza as an Israeli airstrike targeted a hospital courtyard where displaced Palestinians were seeking shelter. The strike resulted in the loss of three lives and left around 40 individuals injured, as reported by the Government Media Office in the enclave.

This devastating attack marked the seventh time that the camp within the premises of the Al-Aqsa hospital in Deir al-Balah had been hit since January. The Government Media Office in Gaza has urgently appealed to the international community to intervene and exert pressure on Israel to cease its assaults on civilians.

The Israeli military, in response to the airstrike, stated that it had carried out a precise operation targeting a Hamas command center situated within a compound that was formerly the 'Shuhadah Al-Aqsa' hospital. The military emphasized that precautions were taken to minimize civilian casualties and placed blame on Hamas for utilizing civilian infrastructure for military purposes.

Tragically, the repercussions of the Israeli strikes in Gaza on that fateful Sunday were severe, with at least 40 individuals losing their lives, including 13 children. The Al-Aqsa hospital, which had been a beacon of hope and healing, found itself overwhelmed as numerous casualties were brought in for urgent medical attention.
