The strike targeted the neighborhood of Bashoura, near the city's downtown area, as confirmed by sources who geolocated the impact site.
Reports from Lebanon's health ministry later in the day confirmed that the death toll had reached nine, with an additional 14 individuals sustaining injuries in the attack. DNA tests are currently being conducted to identify some of the remains recovered from the scene.
