Lebanon's state news agency NNA reported that Israeli aircraft conducted a significant number of airstrikes in a span of one hour on Saturday. The airstrikes, totaling 111 in number, took place between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. local time. The targeted areas included Nabatieh, Iqlim al-Tuffah, and Western Bekaa, as stated by NNA.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), around 180 targets were hit in southern Lebanon on the same day. The IDF also reported that approximately 90 projectiles were launched from Lebanon into Israel. This escalation in hostilities marks one of the most intense series of airstrikes since Hezbollah's involvement in firing rockets into northern Israel last year in support of Hamas during Israel's conflict in Gaza.
Notably, in late August, the Israeli military disclosed that about 100 fighter jets had carried out operations to eliminate numerous Hezbollah rocket launcher barrels across more than 40 locations in southern Lebanon within a single day.
