We're ending our live coverage of day 18 of the Iran war now, a day which started with authorities in the United Arab Emirates briefly closing the country’s airspace following a wave of Iranian attacks targeting the Emirates of Dubai and Fujairah.
Later in the day, Israel said it had killed two senior Iranian security officials in overnight strikes in a major blow to the country's leadership.
Ali Larijani, was secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, and General Gholam Reza Soleimani, headed the Revolutionary Guard’s all-volunteer Basij force.
Late on Tuesday, Tehran confirmed the death of Soleimani but has yet to issue a statement about Larijani.
And US President Donald Trump, whose call for assistance from allies to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to oil traffic has largely been rebuffed, said in a social media post that US forces "no longer need" military help in the Iran war.
"Because of the fact that we have had such Military Success, we no longer 'need,' or desire, the NATO Countries' assistance - WE NEVER DID! Likewise, Japan, Australia, or South Korea," Trump posted on his Truth Social network, adding: "WE DO NOT NEED THE HELP OF ANYONE!"
Our journalists in the region and worldwide will be back tracking the latest developments on Wednesday morning.
