Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, has urged for an emergency session of the UN Security Council following a recent attack by Iran. The attack involved nearly 200 missiles being launched at Israel, prompting Danon to emphasize Israel's right to self-defense.

Speaking to reporters at the UN, Danon stated, 'We will act. Iran will soon feel the consequences of their actions. The response will be painful.' He highlighted the impact of the attack, noting that '10 million people were forced into bomb shelters' as a result of the missile strikes.
