Israel plans to destroy Hamas tunnels by flooding them with seawater

Israel is planning on forcing Hamas to abandon its vast tunnel network beneath Gaza by flooding them with seawater, US officials have said.

The Israeli military has constructed five water pumps capable of sending hundreds of thousands of litres of water into the tunnels every hour.
