A New Mexico state senator is getting criticized in an unusual way. His own daughter has called him out on social media for his recent trip to Israel. Maddie Block (@maddie.block), the 28-year-old daughter of Republican State Senator Jay Block, posted videos on TikTok where she questioned her father’s priorities and said he was spreading propaganda.
Senator Jay Block was part of a large group of about 250 state lawmakers who went to Israel in September for the “50 States, One Israel” conference. The Israeli government paid for the trip. During the visit, the lawmakers met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and got briefings on different issues.
