Nine Americans are among the people who have lost lives in the war between Israel and Hamas. Monday marks the third day since Israel was ambushed on a Saturday morning by a series of rockets and other attacks fired on Israeli cities.
The Israeli President Netanyahu declared a war as he made a speech to the Nation and immediately the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) swung into action to retaliate against the Palestinian group.
On Monday at least 700 people have lost their lives in Israel, among them 73 were soldiers, others are wounded approximately 2400 people. “At least 260 bodies were recovered at the site of a music festival near the boarder with Gaza,” said Israel authorities.
The musical festival was to celebrate Sukkot holiday which is a special day for Israelis in remembrance of how God Protected the children of Israel for forty years in the wilderness (desert). “At least 600 people are killed and 2,900 injured in Palestine,” said Palestinian authorities.
Fears continue to escalate as more lives are lost and property destroyed, US President Joe Biden assured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin that help is on it’s way. By Monday, the Hamas had struck cities like Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Sderot, and Ashkelon. Israel announced they will put the whole of Gaza under siege, “there would be no electricity, no food and no fuel,” said Yoav Gallant Israel Defense Minister.
The Israelis ambulance service has been conducting search in at least six different locations to aid the injured and rush them to hospitals, thousands of civilians are already hospitalized.
Israel’s attack came as a surprise since the country has not experienced something like that in the last 50 years. The last attack happened in 1973 on a holiday. Surprisingly 7th October was a holiday where they conduct Sukkot festivals. This time Israel has to use more schemes than it ever used before to match this kind of a surprise attack.
More lives were lost as Israel airstrikes targeting Al-Tarnas are of Jabalia Gaza has killing 50 people.
“We are fighting animals and we will act accordingly” said Gallant as addressed army commanders on Monday giving instructions how to block air and sea near the Gaza strip.
