Israel's military has reported detecting approximately five projectiles launched from Lebanon towards areas south of Haifa, as tensions escalate between Israel and Hezbollah.
According to the military, the projectiles were identified crossing into Israeli territory following sirens in the regions of Menashe, Hacarmel, and Wadi Ara. Several of the projectiles were successfully intercepted, while one projectile fell in the area.
The affected areas spanned along Israel's Mediterranean coast between the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv, prompting heightened alerts and security measures.
In response to the incoming projectiles, the Israeli military targeted a rocket launcher in southern Lebanon believed to be responsible for the attack on Wadi Ara.
The exchange of strikes between Israel and Hezbollah underscores the ongoing tensions in the region, with both sides engaging in retaliatory actions. The situation remains fluid as both parties monitor developments closely.
