Israel’s military has launched a series of strikes in southern Beirut, following warnings issued to 20 buildings identified as Hezbollah targets in the Lebanese capital’s southern suburbs. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) communicated these warnings through their Arabic-language social media accounts, including those of IDF’s Arabic spokesperson.
The targeted buildings are situated in the areas of Al-Hadath, Haret Hreik, and Burj Al-Barajneh, known strongholds of the militant group Hezbollah. The IDF has stated that the strikes are directed at buildings allegedly used by Hezbollah operatives.
Residents in the vicinity were advised to evacuate immediately and maintain a safe distance of at least 500 meters from the specified buildings highlighted in the warnings. This precautionary measure was emphasized to ensure the safety of civilians in the area.
Notably, Tuesday’s warnings represent the largest number of buildings alerted by the IDF in a single day, underscoring the heightened tensions in the region.
