Israel believes President Donald Trump will soon be forced to escalate hostilities in Iran as a result of a continued deadlock related to passage through the Strait of Hormuz, according to a new report.

Israeli media reported that the country's military had prepared for a major escalation over the weekend. However, the scenario failed to materialize after Trump decided to halt strike around the Strait of Hormuz on Friday. Iran has also stopped its military actions as a result.
