Israel Adesanya recalls "smoking up" with Snoop Dogg after Mike Tyson's comeback

Israel Adesanya has recalled smoking with rap legend Snoop Dogg after Mike Tyson 's comeback fight in 2020.

Adesanya was on commentary duties alongside Snoop for Tyson's exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr. The UFC middleweight champion admitted he had to pinch himself whilst calling the fight and revealed he went and smoked with Snoop after the event.

"To watch you and Roy fight live, that was legendary for me because I was there commentating. There was bits and pieces where I was like 'holy s***, this is happening'," Adesanya said on the Hotboxin' podcast.

"I'm not from that era, but I know for a fact I was living millions of peoples bucket list item. Afterwards I went and smoked up with Snoop in the Staples Center. Then they take me back to the hotel, I remember being in the bus back high as f***."

Adesanya is a regular cannabis smoker and credited the drug for giving him a swollen pectoral muscle in 2020. "To be honest it might have just been unhealthy living a little bit. Like smoking weed, that’s what the doctor from the UFC said. He said I need to stop but I’m not stopping, I’m just going to slow down on the smoking weed," Adesanya told ESPN.

Both Snoop and Tyson are also avid users of cannabis, with Snoop creating his own brand of cannabis products in 2015. Tyson hosts the Hot Boxin' podcast from his famous 40-acre cannabis ranch and claims to smoke £33,000 worth of the drug each month.

Tyson also recently launched ear-shaped cannabis edibles with a chunk missing from them in reference to his fight with Evander Holyfield that 'Iron Mike' was disqualified from for biting a piece of Holyfield's ear off.

Tyson was linked to a comeback fight against YouTube star Jake Paul earlier this year, but the former undisputed heavyweight champion dismissed the reports by stating he had "no knowledge" of the potential fight.

'Iron Mike' has stated it would take a $1billion offer to get him back in the ring, but promised he would take a fight with Jake or Logan Paul seriously. "I'll beat their f***ing ass, I'm coming straight at 'em," he added.

"I'm not going to underestimate them either but I'm going to be in shape, that's the thing you've got to do is be in shape. I think 30 days of boxing I could fight anybody, 30 days of boxing every day. If I'm boxing every day in the gym I don't have to worry about my diet, I'll eat whatever I want."
