A TikTok video showing a Shake Shack order getting more expensive right after a customer skipped the tip prompt has drawn 2.9 million views and 296,200 likes. The video was posted by a creator known as B.D. Powell.

In the video, Powell said his wife told him that Shake Shack raises prices per item if you don’t leave a tip. He said they were going to test the claim by placing an order.
