Portuguese side FC Arouca have announced the signing of Celtic midfielder Ismaila Soro as he seals his long-awaited exit from the Parkhead side.
The 24-year-old looked like a promising signing for the Parkhead club when he arrived from Bnei Yehuda in January 2020 but he has struggled to deliver on his potential. He made 43 appearances in total, but started just six times under Ange Postecoglou last season - his final coming against Real Betis in a Europa League dead rubber.
He didn't travel with Celtic to Austria for their pre-season trip as he closed in on a move away. And now Primeira Liga new boys Arouca have announced his signing. He pens a season-long loan with an option to buy. They said in a statement: "Ismaila Soro, defensive midfielder and Ivorian international, is the latest addition to FC Arouca! The midfielder arrives in Portugal after winning the Scottish Premiership."
