Ismaila Sarr registered an early goal of the season contender from inside his own half in Watford’s trip to West Brom - but fluffed his lines from 12 yards.
A quiet start to the Championship game from the Hornets was punctured by an outrageous lob by the Senegal star.
After 11 minutes at the Hawthorns, Sarr gently collected a high ball and spun towards goal, spotting goalkeeper David Button off his line.
That prompted the Watford star to nonchalantly pick out a shot that drifted over Button and nestle in the goal to send the Hornets’ away end wild.

West Brom dominated for large spells of the game and levelled up late in the first half through Karlan Grant’s calm control and finish.
Watford continued to be second best throughout much of the second half and earned the chance to retake the lead when Semi Ajayi felled Sarr when through on goal.

12 yards is a bit too close for Ismaïla Sarr... pic.twitter.com/mq1KI4007b
The forward picked himself to take the spot-kick yet could only roll a harmless effort into the arms of Button as the goalkeeper redeemed himself, the score finishing 1-1.
