Isle of Man TT results: Peter Hickman claims dominant win in Superstock race

Peter Hickman made it two wins from three at this year's Isle of Man TT with a dominant victory in Monday's Superstock race.

Hickman powered his Gas Monkey Garage BMW to a convincing 12.7-second win over Conor Cummins.

Cummins' teammate Davy Todd finished third in what turned into a brilliant podium double for Clive Padgett's Milenco Honda team.

Dean Harrison finished fourth with Michael Dunlop completing the top five.

Hickman - who won Saturday's opening Superbike race - raced into a commanding lead on the opening lap and never looked back.

He said: "It was another awesome race. The team has done such a good job with the bikes. They have been working their ass off, and it has paid off.

"It felt really good from the start and we got the lead and managed it from there. I followed (John) McGuinness and Hutchy (Ian Hutchinson) on the final lap or so. There are no more experienced guys around here..

"I just thought I'd sit there and maybe learn something off them."

Cummins - who recorded his fastest ever lap at the Isle of Man with a lap speed of 133.16 - added: "It was incredible. I can't quite get my head around it.

"I dropped down to fifth at the start and then I saw a red light. I thought something had gone wrong. I got held up at the pitstop as well and had to dig really deep.

"Thanks to the whole team and all my sponsors. It has been an eventful week."

Third-placed Todd admitted his "head wasn't quite in it" earlier in the day, but he rallied to claim a brilliant podium finish.

Todd said: "It is incredible. I am stoked, I can't believe it. I am a little bit speechless.

"It has been a hard day, and a hard couple of days to be honest. After practice going so well, but the team and people around me got me through the past couple of days, because my head wasn't in the right place.

"I am so grateful to have everyone behind me, and I can't believe I am on a TT podium.

"I just tried to reset after this morning's race, and having that little break and chatting to some friends helped me.

"The team are awesome. They are mega and I've never been happier with the team, and everyone else around me."
