Is this a cunning Conservative plan to curb net migration?

Thanks to your article (UK net migration will start falling to pre-Brexit levels, analysis shows, 16 October), I have finally understood Rishi Sunak’s and Suella Braverman’s cunning plan: they are making life in Britain so intolerable that everyone here will leave and no one will come. It is genius. And the only Tory policy that seems to be working.

• Bravo to the community of Hinstock, Shropshire, and their Falcon Inn (How a team of Shropshire villagers rallied to save their local pub, 12 October). These boys have the nous to start their own brewery at the pub too. Maybe there should be a Campaign for Free Pubs. Free from the ties with pub corporations and breweries that have resulted in extortionate prices for pints and empty pubs.
