Conor McGregor isn't shy about his Crumlin pub's food offering, having previously hailed it the place serving the best carvery in Ireland.
With such a substantial claim being made, we thought it was worth heading along to The Black Forge Inn and testing it out ourselves.
If you're planning on doing the same, there's one thing you should know. Book yourself in well ahead of time. The only table available was high stools outside, although the area was well heated.

Regardless of the seating situation, the grub was good.
The Crumlin hotspot offers an array of gastro food that will be a treat for those who enjoy something a bit comforting. Expect dishes like fish and chips, steak, burgers, chicken wings and the Sunday Roast.
The most notable takeaways from the experience are massive portions and prompt service.
The roast is what you would expect from a proper Dublin pub on a Sunday, with melt in the mouth beef, crunchy roast potatoes and rich gravy. There was plenty of stuffing as well as veg.
However, what was disappointing was a Yorkshire Pudding served cold. Meanwhile, the veggie option was smothered in oil.
When it came to dessert, there was not a spoonful left.
What is also worth mentioning is the value for money, with main courses coming in between €15 and €22, while desserts averaged at around €7.50.
The UFC star reportedly purchased the pub in 2020 for €2 million.
