Is SNP's refusal to sit in House of Lords an 'Achilles Heel' for independence?

SCOTTISH Green co-leader Gillian Mackay has dismissed SNP grandee Ian Blackford’s claim that the lack of pro-independence figures in the House of Lords is an “Achilles' heel” for the Yes movement.

Last week, speaking to The National Podcast, the former SNP Westminster leader suggested that the party’s refusal to take any seat in Westminster’s upper chamber was a weakness as it left them with “no way of affecting legislation in that House”.
