Today in “deeply unserious news we’re nevertheless invested in”, TikTok is having a collective meltdown in anticipation of wedding content from influencer Riley Hemson and her new husband, Vita Tomoana.

The prominent internet personality and fashion label creator reportedly tied the knot after a three-year engagement over the weekend, but has left scores of followers in a state of anticipation by refraining from sharing any content from the highly-anticipated event.
Hemson has long let fans into her life on TikTok — sharing everything from her career moves to her health and fitness routines — which makes her seeming refusal to release any content from her big day all-the-more curious to her hundreds of thousands of followers.
To be clear, Hemson’s social media pages are not completely devoid of wedding-related content, and she did promise to “feed” followers content at some point.
She shared and reposted a bunch of clips in the lead up to the nuptials, including her potential makeup look, her choice of a wedding fragrance and cake, and even vlogs from the wedding welcome party.
Before that, Hemson also gave followers a look into the joint hens-bucks party in Thailand, complete with personalised pillows and swimwear and snaps from the lavish-looking villa.
All of it built hype right up until the morning of Hemson’s wedding, where she shared a heart-warming clip of herself and Tomoana reading letters they’d written to each other before the big day.
Being so open about the wedding planning process of festivities, only to drop off right after the big day, has led hundreds of Hemson’s followers to beg for wedding content on her social media.
“We’re being drip fed,” one fan commented, while another said they “haven’t been able to focus at work today [because they] need the content”. Others wrote they’d been “sat patiently refreshing” their feeds while awaiting new wedding vlogs, or simply declared they are “desperate for content”.
“It’s another day not knowing what Riley’s wedding looked like,” one TikTok user wrote in a video viewed by over 400k people.
Adding to the anticipation was content from wedding guests themselves, including Hemson’s family, friends and a few fellow influencers.
For his part, TikToker Alright Hey “reported live” from the nuptials and interviewed “eyewitnesses” (with no sight of Hemson), while wedding celebrant and content creator Aniella Batten flexed that she’d seen the Hemson’s wedding dress, vows and first dance.
The absence of content has led to a persistent theory that Hemson is a Vogue bride, meaning her wedding will feature in the fashion magazine and any personal content theoretically “can’t be posted until Vogue releases its shoot”, one fan suggested.

We did get some movement from Hemson herself on Tuesday, when she commented on Batten’s video that she was “crying going through the DropBox.” On another post, Hemson promised she “will feed you”, suggesting is wedding content somewhere, but that it hasn’t been released just yet.
Until then, it’s just a waiting game, and it’s one that has left the internet anticipating what is the TikTok equivalent of a royal wedding.
