Is Rihanna an Arsenal fan? Super Bowl halftime show theory and 'Gooner' claim

Arsenal supporters are convinced that world famous singer Rihanna is fan of the club following Sunday's Super Bowl between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rihanna performed live in the prestigious halftime show donning the colour red which has sparked Arsenal supporters into claiming she is a fan. However, it's not the first time the 34-year-old has been associated with the club, having attended a match at the Emirates five years ago.

So, with that in mind, football.london takes a look at everything we know regarding Rihanna's potential support of the club amid Arsenal fans' claims in the last 24 hours.

Arsenal fans claims

As mentioned, supporters were quick to point out after Rihanna's Super Bowl performance that there was only one reason she was wearing the colour red.

Rihanna attends Everton win and declares she's a 'Gooner'

Rihanna actually attended a match at the Emirates back in 2018 when Arsenal hosted Everton. The Gunners ran out 5-1 winners that evening, with Aaron Ramsey netting a hattrick and both Laurent Koscielny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also on the scoresheet.

She was invited behind-the-scenes at the game that day and was quizzed as to whether she was a 'Gooner', to which Rihanna responded that she was. The Barbadian was also pictured meeting the likes of Sead Kolasinac, Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi having also watched the latter two in action at their 2014 World Cup final win against Argentina.

Ozil labelled her as a lucky charm.
