That 16th defeat of the season brings them back to Anfield on a busy day on Merseyside, with the Grand National at Aintree taking place on the same day as they host Marco Silva’s Fulham.
The Cottagers have enjoyed a lengthy break since beating Burnley 3-1 in their last game, and the likes of star winger Harry Wilson - who netted his 10th goal of the season against the Clarets - will be high on confidence as they face a Liverpool side admittedly low on “fighting spirit” and who they held to a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture.
