England are looking to bounce back from last week's disappointing defeat to Scotland against Italy on Sunday afternoon.
Harry Randall has been handed his first Six Nations start by Eddie Jones, replacing Ben Youngs for the match in Rome.
The Bristol Bears scrum-half will win his third cap, but his most significant one with his first two coming against the USA and Canada last summer.
Jones has rung the changes, making six alterations to his starting line-up from last weekend's Calcutta Cup defeat to Scotland at Murrayfield.
Bears' Kyle Sinckler has dropped to the bench and is replaced by Will Stuart as his Bath teammate Charlie Ewels starts in place of the injured Lewis Ludlam in the second-row alongside Nick Isiekwe, with Maro Itoje starting as a blindside flanker.
Elsewhere in the pack, Alex Dombrandt starts in place of Sam Simmonds as the Quins man wins his first start in the Six Nations after coming off the bench last weekend.
Jamie George also comes in for Luke Cowan-Dickie, who was controversially sent to the sin-bin last weekend, which ultimately cost England dearly in their 20-17 defeat.
In the back-line, Jack Nowell returns to make his first start since 2019, in place of Elliot Daly as Max Malins keeps his place and Joe Marchant starts at outside-centre.
Jones said: "We’ve set ourselves the target of playing really well and lighting up Rome - we’ve made some changes and this is the best side to face Italy. We want to start fast and take the game to them.
"They can be a dangerous team and have some very good players in the likes of Garbisi, Negri and Lamaro.
"It’s been a difficult week, but the players have bounced back well, trained hard and are ready to put on a good performance on Sunday."
