Is it safe to travel to Japan and China? Latest advice as more than 1,000 flights cancelled in Typhoon Dolphin

More than one million people have been evacuated after Typhoon Dolphin made landfall in China, bringing with it heavy rain and strong winds.

The typhoon landed on the coast near the city of Yuhuan in Zhejiang province at around 5.30pm local time on Sunday, bringing winds of up to 50km/h – equivalent to a category one hurricane.
