With the Pittsburgh Steelers on the verge of winning the AFC North and the toughest three-game stretch of the season ahead, the absence of star wideout George Pickens (hamstring) is less than ideal.
On Thursday, the Steelers designated Pickens as out for the Baltimore Ravens matchup.
Pickens is set to miss his third consecutive game after sustaining the injury during Dec. 5 practice. Until Week 14, Pickens had not missed a game in his NFL career.
The Steelers have managed just 27 points and three touchdowns since Pickens has been sidelined. Pickens has 55 receptions for 850 yards and three touchdowns this season.
