With the Pittsburgh Steelers on the verge of clinching a playoff berth and the toughest three-game stretch of the season kicking off tomorrow, the absence of star wideout George Pickens is less than ideal.
It’s not a matter of if, but when the Steelers get that postseason spot. Avoiding further aggravation of the Grade 2 strain and having him ready for that ride is most important.
Pickens is set to miss his second consecutive game after sustaining the injury during Dec. 5 practice. Until Week 14, Pickens had not missed a game in his NFL career.
Pickens has 55 receptions for 850 yards and three touchdowns this season.
