EA Sports has addressed an issue with some players unable to access the EA Servers in FIFA 23 due to an error.
With the FIFA 23 Team of the Season (TOTS) promo currently live in Ultimate Team, plenty of players will be wanting to access FUT 23 to open Packs before the Community TOTS and Eredivisie TOTS squads leave exit Packs tomorrow. The Premier League TOTS will be the next squad to enter FUT, but if there are some players in the Community and Eredivisie TOTS squads that you want for your team, you don't have long to try and get them.
And, with it being a Thursday, players will also be looking to claim their Division Rivals rewards, but it seems like most players cannot access any online features including Ultimate Team right now due to an issue with the EA servers. An error message reading "an error occurred downloading the FUT Squad Update. Please try again" is currently appearing when trying to enter FUT, whilst some players can't get past the FUT 23 loading screen.
So, when will FIFA 23 Ultimate Team and other online services become available again?

EA Sports has provided an update on the issue on their @EAFIFADirect Twitter, with the statement reading: "We are investigating reports of some players being unable to connect to EA Servers and will provide an update in this thread when available."
EA states that 'some players' are unable to connect, but it seems like the issue is the same for everyone, with no one having been able to access Ultimate Team for hours. There has been no indication made by EA when the EA Servers will be back up and running, so we are unsure when this issue will be solved.
It seems a few things haven't been going right for EA recently though, with some in-game errors forcing the publisher to promise free Community TOTS items for certain players. EA wrongly included TOTS Moments players in the Community TOTS Upgrade SBC, so any players who received a TOTS Moments player instead of a regular TOTS will receive compensation.
EA has since updated the SBC description, now highlighting that you can receive both Community TOTS and Community TOTS moments in the Upgrade Pack. Another error saw EA accidentally release two TOTS players the day before they were meant to enter FUT Packs.
EA has stated they will provide an update when the issue is fixed, and we will also update this article once the problem is sorted out.
