Is Carrie Johnson set to launch her own lifestyle brand?

WHEN David Cameron ended his stint as Prime Minister his wife, Samantha, launched fashion brand Cefinn. Now we hear Carrie Johnson is planning her own business post-No 10: a lifestyle brand in the style of Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop.

We hear Carrie, pictured, has been considering a line of sustainable and organic products for young fashion-conscious women and children. Carrie was known for championing environmental causes during her husband’s three-year tenure as PM, and wore rented dresses.

She could draw on the expertise of her friend Lady Bamford, owner of the upmarket supermarket and deli Daylesford.

Gwyneth Paltrow started Goop in 2008 and it is now worth tens of millions of dollars. Carrie is likely to avoid making Gwyneth-esque candles.

But he’s sanguine: “It’s fair enough; he applied for permission, if he sticks to those conditions, I’ll be fine”.

SOME good news for Liz Truss, who has had a tough first five weeks as Prime Minister, to say the least. Whatever happens, there will be a ‘Toby Jug’ of her face in the Houses of Parliament shop, we are assured, “even if she leaves soon”. The jugs are made for all prime ministers, and the Truss model is currently in production. The Boris Johnson model, left, is currently sold out. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Ronnie Wood wife Sally toasted Sixties fashion model Pattie Boyd new book in Soho last night. Boyd, ex-wife and muse of George Harrison and Eric Clapton told us she has “tonnes” of pictures that were too risque for publication. Ronnie Wood wife Sally were there too. At the back, Boyd takes aim at the employers who didn’t pay her.
